Worship

Special Notice: Due to the current health crisis Ashburton U.C. will not be holding worship services or other activities on church property, in line with latest govt directives.

The Australian Government Dept of Health has decided places of worship are restricted from opening in response to the Covid-19 (Corona) Virus situation. Therefore, we will not be holding Sunday services until the restriction is lifted. We will continue to monitor the situation and communicate next steps.

Maundy Thursday Tenebrae Service to be held at 8.00pm on Zoom. Email ashburtonuniting@gmail.com for the link.

Good Friday – Live Streamed Service with Ashburton Baptist Church.

Easter Sunday – have you received your Easter at Home in a Box? Email for a kit.

Stay tuned for more as we go forward in The Lord!

Including, our Zoom Service at 10am Easter Sunday.

(Usually!) Our main service of worship is Sunday morning at 10.00am in Ashburton UC. This service is currently suspended.

We meet in the church building at 3 Ashburn Grove, Ashburton (just south of High Street, opposite the railway line).

On most Sundays there is a mixture of traditional and contemporary music in worship. On the first Sunday of the month we usually celebrate Holy Communion. On the third Sunday, different activities and styles often emerge in the worship – such as the service being led by the children, or a special focus on mission, chaplaincy, and so on.

On the first Sunday of the month, there is usually a men’s or women’s breakfast before church. On the third Sunday of the month there is a shared lunch in the hall – simple food is provided, and all are welcome.

Please come along and join us – visitors, explorers, and new members are welcome!
